Moving forward with the trail cleanup. Lower and Upper First Divide trails are cleared and raked. 11 hours in 2 days of work. I almost made it to the cabin on 2nd Divide trail today, looking good for the early season riding. More moisture on the way tomorrow and we'll finish Thursday.

The North Yuba from Downieville to Goodyears Bar has been cleaned from end to end. There were 6 trees that have been removed and the trail is amazing. Total volunteer hours 29.

2013 Trail Building:

The Butcher Ranch Extension Trail is nearly complete, we had a volunteer trail work day last week and will be working at least one day a week until completion, hopefully in late September. Anyone who would like to volunteer can contact us at the shop.

The Forest Service trail crew will be working on the trail Monday through Thursday until the trail is finished. There is less than a half mile to complete the work.

Update:
We also finished up the Butcher Ranch Extension trail on Sunday. We had a volunteer
trail day and were able to connect the Extension trail to the start of the Butcher Ranch
singletrack. The new trail is 2.3 miles in length and rain has packed the trail to perfection
for riding out the rest of the season. Come and check it out!

The Forest Service deserves the credit for getting this accomplished.

2007 Trail Maintainance:
DVO, 321 and friends are undertaking a more aggressive program to ensure all area trails are ready to ride, weather permitting. This year we have put in over 60 hours in mostly loose rock removal, lopping and branch removal on the lower Divides. The mild dry winter has given us a rare opportunity to get out and work. Work will resume when snowpack subsides on the Divides. All of the water breaks on 3rd Divide were so clogged that had we not re-opened them it would have become a river bed during the recent massive storm just dumped on us. We are back at work on the Divides, since Spring is around the corner.
